Educators
To ensure the highest standards of quality Esther Malka takes the utmost care in employing professional and experienced educators that respect children, have a enthusiasm for early childhood education and are effective team players.
Our educators are committed to Chabad Glen Eira, with a low change over rate. They feel like they are part of a big family where each educator matters. We have many staff events throughout the year, both for social gatherings and personal celebrations. Our educators travel from all over Greater Melbourne to be part of our team.
Our staffing allows for small group intentional teaching and interactions to occur. We offer a level of supervision beyond the government required staff to child ratios.
Careful organization of educators contributes to the continuous support of each child’s learning and development in an effectively supervised environment. We believe that having committed and consistent staff shows a strong attitude and care to our service. This consistency empowers our educators, and provides a higher quality of practice and morale in our centre. Each of our educators has clear defined contracts and positions, ensuring that all educators have a clear understanding of expectations.

Training and Professional Development:
We have an educator induction checklist that is adhered to with every new member. All staff have a Working with Children Check and Mandatory Reporting Certificate. Our educators also have First Aid and CPR training, Anaphylaxis and asthma training as well as Food Safety and Allergen Certificates.
Throughout the year our educators are provided with Professional Development Learning Workshops on a range of topics to support important issues that arise as well as to up skill. This is vital for our educators to feel empowered, update their knowledge and cement their practice. These include sessions on behaviour, sleep, toilet training, fussy eating, speech and occupational therapy and more.
